This course runs for a total of 45 weeks. Each term lasts for 10 weeks and there is a one-week break after each term. At the end of the school year, students have a three-week summer break. The English for Academic Purposes Program prepares international students for vocational or tertiary-level study in Australia and other contexts where English is the language of instruction, supported by instructional materials. This workshop at Nova Institute of Technology will cover a variety of essential skills necessary for success in today’s job market, from writing to public speaking. This course will be built on the idea that critical thinking and literacy are important. At its core, this course will emphasize how to develop these skills in order to strengthen your personal thought process and find solutions for problems. Students gain increased understanding in using English to communicate in academic contexts at Certificate, Diploma, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate levels.
